Is beer better than liquor for your liver?
I often hear different opinions on alcohol and liver health. Some people say liquor is worse, while others say beer is just as bad. Is beer actually better than liquor for your liver, or is it all the same?

I totally get it, we always try to find a safer option when we want to enjoy a drink. Honestly speaking, your liver doesn't really know the difference between beer or whiskey, it just has to process the alcohol. So drinking too much of either is going to put a lot of pressure on your system.
Rather than comparing beer and liquor, I think it's better to spend money on a yearly LFT profile. Liver tests in good labs cost around 500 to 800 rupees, which is cheaper than a couple of drinks anyway. Keep a budget for health checkups first, then decide your limits.
Listen to me, don't fall for these myths that beer is harmless just because the alcohol percentage is lower. If you end up drinking more volume, the damage is going to be exactly the same. Just take care of your body and give your liver enough dry days to recover.
I completely understand why you are asking this, I used to spend hours googling the same thing because I was so scared of liver damage. The anxiety is real but actually, any type of alcohol in excess is bad. Getting a quick liver panel test done really helped calm my mind down.
Managing my PCOS made me realize how sensitive our internal organs are to any toxin. I don't want to sound like a doctor, but alcohol of any kind can affect our metabolic health and liver enzymes. It is always better to keep the intake very minimal.

Yaar, actually both are bad if you are drinking heavily. People think beer is light and safe for the liver, but volume increases so much when we drink beer. Over time, both lead to fatty liver issues if you don't keep a check.
