Is asthma upper or lower airway?

I'm trying to understand more about how asthma affects the body. Does asthma primarily impact the upper part of our breathing system, like the nose and throat, or the lower airways like the lungs?

It's completely normal to feel confused by these medical terms, I used to panic searching every symptom. Asthma is actually a lower airway disease because it affects the bronchial tubes inside your lungs. Take a deep breath, you are doing fine.

Asthma originates in the lower airways, specifically the bronchioles. Practicing daily deep abdominal breathing helps strengthen these lower areas and improves overall oxygenation gently.

It's a lower airway issue, down there in the lungs. My body has so many issues now that I need a map to keep track of what's upper and what's lower! But seriously, get a doctor to check it out.

It affects the lower airways, which is why the chest feel so heavy. Honestly, between my late-night work shifts and coughing, my entire airway feels exhausted right now. Go see a doctor and get some peace of mind.

It is a lower airway condition. I once ignored my persistent wheezing thinking it was just a throat allergy, and it got really bad. Please get yourself checked by a specialist before it worsens.
