Is aspartame bad during pregnancy?

I'm pregnant and craving sweets, but I'm trying to avoid sugar. I'm wondering if artificial sweeteners like aspartame are safe. Is aspartame bad for pregnant women or the baby?

My cousin sister was asking her gynecologist about diet sodas with aspartame last month. The doctor said having it in very small, occasional amounts is fine, but it's much better to just avoid artificial sweeteners during pregnancy. Better safe than sorry.

Haan, pregnancy mein toh jitna natural cheezein khao utna accha hai na. Aspartame aur baaki artificial sweeteners ko avoid hi karo toh behtar hai. Real sugar ya thoda sa gud le lo agar bohot mann kare toh.

As a diabetic, I use sweeteners often, but during pregnancy, chemical additives like aspartame should be highly restricted. If gestational diabetes is a concern, consult your endocrinologist to see what safe alternatives like natural stevia you can use instead.

Why go for artificial packets when we have simple home solutions? If you are craving something sweet, just eat a small piece of apple or some home-made kheer with minimal sugar. It is much safer for the mother and baby than packaged diet drinks.

When you're busy at work, grabbing a diet soda seems easy, but check the labels for aspartame. FDA says it's technically safe in moderation, but most gynaecologists prefer you avoid it. Keep some fresh coconut water at your desk instead.
