Is anti dandruff shampoo good for hair loss?

I've been using anti-dandruff shampoo for a while now because of a flaky scalp, but I've also noticed my hair thinning a bit. My sister told me it might be related. Is anti-dandruff shampoo actually good for hair loss, or can it sometimes make it worse?

If your hair loss is caused by scalp inflammation from severe dandruff clogging your follicles, then yes, an anti-dandruff shampoo will help. But remember, a clean scalp is only half the battle. You also need a diet rich in protein, biotin, and healthy fats to support natural hair growth.

Anti-dandruff shampoos can keep your scalp clean, which is good for hair health. However, hair loss is often linked to high stress levels, thyroid issues, or even blood pressure medications. Please get a proper health checkup to find the real underlying cause.

Beta, agar sir mein bahut jyaada khujli aur rusi hai, toh anti-dandruff shampoo lagane se baal tootna thoda kam ho jata hai. Lekin isko roz-roz mat lagana kyunki baal bohot dry ho jaate hain. Aap thoda methi ka paani aur dahi bhi laga sakte hain.

In cases of hormonal issues like PCOS, hair thinning is usually due to high androgens, which anti-dandruff shampoos cannot fix. However, keeping the scalp free of yeast infections using a ketoconazole shampoo can support hair retention. I would highly recommend consulting a trichologist or endocrinologist.

I used to cry seeing clumps of hair in the shower and tried every anti-dandruff shampoo thinking it would stop the shedding. It only helped a little with the itchiness, but my hair loss was actually due to stress and vitamin deficiency. Please don't rely only on shampoos, look at your inner health too.

I panicked when my hair started falling out and assumed I was balding, but my dermatologist told me it was just temporary shedding caused by a flaky scalp. Once I cleared the dandruff with a proper medicated shampoo, my hair fall stopped and it grew back normally. Don't worry, it's very manageable!

I was researching this and read that shampoos containing ketoconazole can actually block DHT on the scalp, which is a major cause of male pattern baldness. So yes, certain medicated anti-dandruff shampoos can definitely help slow down hair loss beyond just clearing flakes.

My grandmother always tells me to apply homemade neem and coconut oil for dandruff and hair fall. While that natural therapy keeps the scalp cool, I still trust a dermatologist's advice. They prescribed a mild anti-dandruff shampoo that really helped reduce my hair shedding.

Instead of buying expensive cosmetic anti-dandruff shampoos that dry out your hair, just buy a basic medicated ketoconazole shampoo from the pharmacy. Use it twice a week, and wash your hair with normal water on other days. It is a simple and cheap way to solve the dandruff-related hair fall.

Anti-dandruff shampoo can clear the scalp buildup, ho na. But sometimes these shampoos make the hair so dry that they break from the middle. You should use a good conditioner on the hair ends so they don't get damaged.

Hey, don't stress too much! Just buy a mild anti-dandruff shampoo and use it twice a week to keep your scalp clean, and the hair fall should settle down. Stressing about it will only cause more hair loss, so just relax and let the shampoo do its work!

I feel like my hair fall actually increased after I started using a strong anti-dandruff shampoo. Has anyone else experienced this, or am I just overthinking? It feels so dry and brittle now, and I am really worried about losing more hair.
