Is alcohol bad for arthritis?

My knees have been bothering me a lot lately, doctor said it's arthritis. I enjoy a drink or two on weekends, but someone told me alcohol can make arthritis worse. Is that true or can I still have a little bit?

I totally get it, sometimes people wonder if a little bit is okay or even helps. But generally, yes, alcohol can be quite bad for arthritis. It can worsen inflammation and also interact badly with medications you might be taking. It's a tricky one.

Ab ye bhi mana karna padega? Pehle joints hi dard karte the, ab pata chala sharab bhi nahi peena. 😂 Honestly, I've heard from my doctor that alcohol can increase inflammation, which is the last thing arthritis patients need. So, probably best to avoid it for your joints.

My son has juvenile arthritis, and the doctors were very clear: alcohol is a no-go. It can inflame the joints more and also interfere with his medicines. It's important to protect those joints as much as possible, so best to stay away from it.

Just like how alcohol affects blood sugar management, it can also have negative impacts on inflammatory conditions like arthritis. It often causes inflammation and can also react with prescribed medications. So, for both reasons, avoiding it is generally the safest bet.

For the well-being of your body, it is always wise to choose what nourishes, not what inflames. Alcohol can often exacerbate conditions like arthritis. Focus on gentle movements, a light diet, and inner peace to soothe your body.
