Is advil or tylenol better for tooth pain?

My wisdom tooth is bothering me a lot. I usually take whatever is available, but today I have both Advil and Tylenol. Which of these two should I take for better relief from tooth pain?

Oh, tooth pain is just horrible, especially with kids! For my son's toothaches, the dentist recommended Advil (ibuprofen) because it helps with both pain and the inflammation that usually comes with tooth problems. Tylenol (paracetamol) just helps with the pain. So, Advil often gives better relief. But please, see a dentist ASAP, these are just temporary solutions!

For tooth pain, Advil (ibuprofen) is often preferred because it's an anti-inflammatory, which is usually helpful for dental pain. Tylenol (acetaminophen) is just a pain reliever. However, this is only a temporary fix. It's crucial to get the tooth checked by a dentist immediately to avoid worsening the problem. Don't delay safety.

Hey there! For tooth pain, most people find Advil (ibuprofen) better because it helps with both the pain and any inflammation or swelling. Tylenol (paracetamol) only really helps with the pain, not the swelling part. So Advil often gives more comprehensive relief. But definitely, definitely go see a dentist, okay? Painkillers are just for temporary comfort.

Tooth pain is truly awful, I've tried everything from clove oil to salt water! While home remedies help a little, for stronger relief, Advil is usually better for tooth pain because it also reduces swelling, unlike Tylenol which only helps with the pain. Just remember, it's not a cure. You absolutely need to see a dentist for the actual issue. Hope you get some relief soon!

For tooth pain, either can help, but Advil often works better as it also reduces swelling. My advise is, use whichever you have or is cheaper for temporary relief. But don't stretch it. Dental work can be costly, so it's practical to see a dentist fast before a small problem becomes a root canal or extraction. Save money by getting it fixed early, not by relying on pills.
