How to wash your hair properly if you have dandruff?

I've been dealing with severe dandruff for a while, and my hair feels really oily but also flaky. My usual shampoo doesn't seem to be doing the trick anymore. How should I wash my hair properly if I have dandruff to get rid of it for good?

When washing hair with dandruff, always focus on cleaning the scalp rather than the hair strands. Use your fingertips to gently massage in circular motions to help lift the flakes without hurting the skin. Always rinse with normal or cool water, as hot water makes the scalp dry and flakier.

Just dilute your shampoo in a mug of water first so it spreads evenly on your scalp. Massage gently for two minutes and wash it off completely. Regular and gentle washing is the best way to handle this.

Please don't trust people online telling you to put onion juice or vinegar on your dandruff-prone scalp. It can cause severe contact dermatitis and worsen hair fall. Go to a certified dermatologist and let them prescribe a proper wash routine based on your scalp type.

Hey, don't stress too much about the dandruff, it is a very common issue and totally treatable! Just use a good anti-dandruff shampoo twice a week, and let it sit on your head for a bit while you sing your favorite song. You will be absolutely fine, don't worry at all.

I tried lemon and baking soda but they made my scalp burn so much. Honestly, a mild tea tree shampoo diluted with water is much safer and works beautifully. Just wash your hair every alternate day to keep sweat and oil from building up.
