How to treat high liver enzymes in pregnancy?

My sister is pregnant and her recent blood tests showed high liver enzymes, which has got us all a bit worried. What kind of treatments are typically recommended for high liver enzymes during pregnancy to protect both mother and baby?

Haan na, pregnancy matches are so delicate and liver enzymes going high is stressful. You must check with your gynaecologist immediately, it could be cholestasis or something. Don't take any home medicine now, doc will guide you safely.

Oh, don't worry too much! Just follow your doctor's diet chart closely. Keep drinking lots of water and eat fresh home-cooked meals, you and baby will be totally fine. 😊

My wife had a similar issue in her third trimester. We just stopped all oily food, started simple papaya-free light diet, and did regular liver function tests as told by the government hospital doctor. It resolved nicely after delivery.

For liver health during these months, a clean plant-based diet is highly beneficial. Avoid processed foods, heavy dairy, and excess sugar completely. Ensure you discuss your LFT reports with your doctor before altering your diet drastically.

Beta, during pregnancy we have to be very careful with what we eat. Avoid heavy fried foods, ghee, and outer masalas to give liver some rest. Drink coconut water, but first confirm every small remedy with your obstetrician.

I know pregnancy cravings make you want to eat everything spicy and fried, but with high liver enzymes, you really have to control it. Stick to basic steamed rice, curd, and simple veggies for a few weeks. Your doctor will definitely give you the right safe medicine too.

Pregnancy already brings so many changes, and now this liver issue! Honestly, the best way is to let the gynac handle it while you strictly eat bland boiled food. At this age, my liver complains even without pregnancy, so just listen to the doctor's prescription.
