How to tell if someone had weight loss surgery?

A cousin I haven't seen in a long time recently lost a lot of weight very quickly. I heard whispers about weight loss surgery but don't want to ask directly. Are there any particular physical signs or other indicators that someone has had bariatric surgery?

Honestly, unless they tell you, it's hard to know for sure. People who've had it often have significant weight loss, maybe loose skin. But you can't really just guess, right? Better not to assume.

My athai always says health is personal. If someone has had surgery, they might be much thinner, but it's not our place to ask. If they want to share, they will. Best to just be supportive no matter what.

It's totally normal to be curious, especially if you see a big change in someone. But for weight loss surgery, the signs can be subtle. They might have changed eating habits drastically, but that's about it. Don't worry too much about figuring it out.

Look, you won't find a definitive 'sign' on the internet for this. If someone has had weight loss surgery, it's a medical procedure. You'd only know if they tell you, or if you notice things like very small meal portions. Don't go looking for clues based on rumours.

Haha, unless they suddenly start running marathons and can only eat like a bird, it's tough to tell! Kidding aside, usually it's just a noticeable weight loss. But seriously, it's their business, not ours. Just compliment their glow up!
