How to stop zoloft weight gain?

My doctor prescribed Zoloft for my anxiety, and while it's helping with that, I've started gaining weight. It's a big concern for me. How can I stop this Zoloft-related weight gain?

Before assuming the weight gain is only due to Zoloft, please get your thyroid panel tested. Antidepressants can sometimes mask or interact with underlying thyroid sluggishness. It is best to discuss these reports with your doctor to adjust the treatment.

Haan na, Zoloft se weight gain toh bohot common issue hai. Actually, it increases our food cravings, especially for sweets. Try keeping healthy snacks like roasted makhana or fruits near you so you don't eat junk when cravings hit.

Zoloft helps my anxiety but now looking at the scale gives me new anxiety, what a cycle! I am so tired all the time that cooking clean is a struggle. For now, I'm just trying to drink water instead of reaching for late-night sodas.

It is really tough managing antidepressant weight gain. Just try to stay consistent with light daily physical activity and consult your doctor.

Please remember that your mental health is the top priority right now. Don't be too hard on yourself about the weight; just make small, healthy lifestyle changes gradually.

At my age, gaining weight is easy anyway, but Zoloft made it a speed run. My doctor laughed and told me to start counting my daily walking steps. Honestly, just doing 6,000 steps a day has helped stop the scale from going up further.

The main culprit with Zoloft is that it alters your satiety signals, making you feel hungry even when you are full. Focus on a high-protein, high-fiber diet to stay satisfied, and incorporate some basic strength training 3 times a week to keep your metabolism active.

Instead of buying expensive fat burners or diet plans, get a basic blood panel done first to ensure your liver and thyroid are fine. Many local labs offer this for under 1000 rupees. If tests are clear, simple home-cooked meals are your cheapest and best bet.
