How to stop weight gain after stopping spironolactone?

I recently stopped taking spironolactone for my skin, and now I'm seeing some weight creep up. I'm worried about gaining back all the weight I lost. Any tips on how to manage this?

Spironolactone is a diuretic, so stopping it makes your body hold onto water weight, making you feel bloated. I noticed my salty food cravings went up after stopping it. Try to swap those salty snacks for fresh fruits and cucumber slices to keep the water retention under control.

I worry constantly about hormonal changes, and stopping spiro can really throw things off. Just make sure you are drinking enough water because dehydrating yourself will actually make your body hold onto fluids even more. Let's stay calm and give our bodies a few weeks to adjust.

I know exactly how stressful and scary it is when you stop a medicine and suddenly see the scale going up. It can make you feel so anxious about your body. Please take a deep breath; most of this initial weight is just water retention because spironolactone was flushing it out earlier.

Spiro band karne ke baad thoda weight badhna bilkul normal baat hai, kyunki wo dawai shareer se pani nikalti thi. Abhi thoda namak kam khao aur roz subah ghoomne jaya karo. Koi fikar ki baat nahi hai, shareer apne aap thik ho jayega.

Since spironolactone affects fluid balance and hormones, stopping it can sometimes impact your metabolic rate. I suggest keeping your carbohydrate intake steady and monitoring your glucose levels if you have diabetic tendencies. Stick to clean, low-sodium foods to help manage the rebound fluid retention.
