How to stop vomiting from food poisoning?

I think I ate something bad at a dhaba yesterday and now I have food poisoning. I've been vomiting non-stop since morning. What can I do to stop vomiting from food poisoning? This is really bad.

When I had terrible food poisoning last month, trying to stop the vomiting immediately with medicines didn't help because my body was trying to get the bad food out. I just focused on sipping ORS water spoon by spoon to keep my hydration levels up.

My family doctor always says that with food poisoning, dehydration is the real danger, not the vomiting itself. He advised us to wait for 2 hours after the last vomit before trying to drink anything, and then start with tiny sips of ORS or light black tea.

Currently typing this from my bathroom floor at 3 AM because of some shady street food. Honestly, don't eat anything solid at all right now. Just focus on surviving and drink electoral or coconut water so you don't pass out from exhaustion.

Please be very careful. I once tried to treat my food poisoning at home with natural tips and ended up severely dehydrated in the ICU with kidney issues. If you cannot even keep water down for more than 6-8 hours, go get an IV drip at a clinic.

Agreed, food poisoning is the worst. Just stick to thin buttermilk with a pinch of salt and ginger juice once your stomach settles down a bit.

Oh god, I know exactly how helpless and exhausted you must be feeling right now, it is genuinely terrifying when you can't stop throwing up. Just take it easy, lie down, let your body rest, and don't force yourself to eat anything at all today.
