How to stop perimenopause hair loss?

I'm in my late 40s and going through perimenopause, and one of the most distressing symptoms is how much hair I'm losing. My hair is thinning visibly, and I'm really worried. How can I stop this perimenopause hair loss?

The hair fall during this phase is so crazy yaar, literally bunches of hair in the shower. Actually, our estrogen levels are dropping, so basic oiling won't solve it alone. I had to start taking specific vitamin supplements after asking my doctor.

Look, stop wasting money on expensive shampoos that promise magic. The change is happening inside your body, so fix your diet first. Eat more curry leaves, amla, and walnuts, and go get your blood test done to see what vitamins are low.

I know how upsetting it is to see your hairline change, but please don't stress too much. Stressing actually makes the hair fall much worse! Try a relaxing head massage with warm coconut oil once a week and just focus on eating healthy.

I don't have time for elaborate home remedies on weekdays, so I just focus on taking my daily multivitamin and staying hydrated. If you are busy, just switch to a wide-toothed comb and avoid tight ponytails during work hours to reduce immediate breakage.

I went through this five years ago and my hair has finally recovered. You have to focus on getting enough protein in your daily meals, as hair is made of protein. Also, have a frank conversation with your gynecologist about hormone therapy options if the symptoms are too severe.

Haan, this hair thinning is very common at our age na. I started using a mild chemical-free shampoo and stopped styling my hair altogether to avoid breakage. Don't worry, it gets better once your hormones settle down a bit.

My doctor explained that the ratio of estrogen to testosterone changes during perimenopause, causing hair follicles to shrink. She prescribed me specific iron supplements because my ferritin levels were very low, which is common. I highly recommend getting a complete iron panel test done.
