How to stop hair loss from antidepressants?

Since starting antidepressants a few months ago, I've noticed my hair becoming noticeably thinner and shedding more. It's a new side effect I'm dealing with. How can I stop hair loss that's a result of these medications?

If hair loss is a side effect of antidepressants, it's crucial to talk to your psychiatrist. They can assess if it's related to the medication and potentially adjust the dosage or switch to another antidepressant. Self-adjusting medication is not advisable.

I heard some antidepressants can cause this. It's really important to tell your doctor or psychiatrist. Maybe they can change the medicine or give you something to help. Don't stop meds suddenly, that's not good!

Antidepressants are already tough enough, and now hair loss too? My brain is tired, my hair is tired. 😂 Seriously though, this is a discussion for your doctor. They need to know so they can help.

Dealing with mental health challenges is already hard, and then a side effect like hair loss can really add to the stress and anxiety. It's totally valid to feel worried about this. Please know you're not alone.

I recently started antidepressants and I'm a bit scared about hair loss. Has anyone else experienced this with their medication? Does it get better, or do I need to prepare for it?
