How to stop hair loss due to weight loss?

I've been on a weight loss journey and have lost a significant amount, which I'm happy about. But now my hair is shedding non-stop. Is this normal, and how do I stop hair loss that's happening because of my weight loss?

Oh, I totally panicked when I lost weight rapidly and my hair started shedding! My doctor told me it's quite normal, especially if the weight loss was quick or restrictive. It generally sorts itself out once your body adjusts and nutrient levels stabilize.

It's so alarming to see hair fall after putting in effort for weight loss, I know the feeling. You feel like you're doing something good for yourself but then this happens. Don't let it get you down too much.

Hair loss post-weight loss is often telogen effluvium, a temporary shedding. Ensure your diet is balanced, especially with enough protein, iron, and zinc. And keep hydrating! It usually gets better within a few months.

It's a common side effect, so don't worry too much. Make sure you are eating enough protein and vitamins.

My dietician explained that rapid weight loss can sometimes shock the system, leading to temporary hair shedding as your body prioritizes vital functions. She told me to focus on nutrient-dense foods and not to restrict too heavily. It did improve after a few months.
