How to stop baby vomiting?

My 8-month-old baby keeps vomiting after almost every feed, and it's making me really anxious. The doctor said it's probably reflux, but I want to know if there's anything else I can do. How do you stop a baby from vomiting so much?

Baby vomiting can quickly lead to dehydration, which is very dangerous. My nephew once got very sick due to severe vomiting. Please don't delay, if it's persistent or severe, go to the pediatrician or emergency room immediately. It's better to be safe than sorry.

Bete, babies do vomit sometimes, it's part of growing up. Don't panic too much. Just keep an eye on them, make sure they are hydrated with small sips of ORS if the doctor recommends, and look for any other worrying signs. Trust your instincts and call the pediatrician.

While it's not a direct cure, sometimes gently massaging the baby's tummy in clockwise motion can soothe them a little. Also, ensuring a calm environment helps prevent distress which can sometimes trigger vomiting. But please, for any persistent vomiting, the doctor's visit is essential.

I can only share what we did with our kids. When they vomited, we'd offer sips of water or breastmilk very frequently, in tiny amounts, to prevent dehydration. We always called the pediatrician to get their advice on whether it was serious or just a normal baby thing.

Oh god, when my baby vomits, I immediately start panicking if they're getting enough fluids. Does anyone else get so anxious about dehydration? How do you know when it's just a normal spit-up versus actual concerning vomiting? It's so hard to tell sometimes.

When a baby vomits, the main concern is dehydration. Offer small, frequent sips of ORS or breastmilk/formula, but only tiny amounts at a time. Watch for signs of dehydration like fewer wet diapers, no tears, or sunken soft spot. If it's persistent, definitely see the pediatrician quickly.

Baby vomiting? Ah, the joy of parenthood, especially at 3 AM! 😩 Seriously though, it's messy and worrying. We usually just focused on keeping them hydrated with small, frequent feeds and changing a LOT of sheets. If it gets projectile or continuous, no second thoughts, straight to the doctor!

For babies, you absolutely cannot rely on internet remedies or hearsay. Their systems are so delicate. If your baby is vomiting, the ONLY advice you should trust is from a qualified pediatrician. Any other approach is risking your child's health.

Dealing with baby's health is top priority, costs notwithstanding. But it's good to know where to go. For vomiting, a local pediatrician is usually the first stop, rather than a big hospital ER if it's not super critical. Saves money and time. If they advise further tests, then plan accordingly.

I've tried so many things for my baby's tummy issues, it's exhausting! For vomiting, after consulting my doc, I found that giving very tiny amounts of clear fluids like rice water (after boiling and cooling) or plain water, often, helped settle their stomach. But the pediatrician's advice is always first.
