How to stop acid reflux during pregnancy?

I'm pregnant with my first baby, and this acid reflux is driving me crazy! Especially at night, it feels like everything comes up, and I can't sleep properly. Are there safe ways to stop acid reflux when you're pregnant?

During my wife's pregnancy, she struggled a lot with severe acid reflux, which also triggered her blood pressure issues. We managed it by changing her lifestyle, like having her eat dinner at least three hours before sleeping and keeping her head elevated with extra pillows. Please make sure to get regular checkups with your gynecologist to discuss this safely.

I used to panic so much during my first pregnancy thinking this severe chest burning was some heart issue, but my doctor reassured me it is just normal acid reflux. Eating smaller meals throughout the day and avoiding spicy food worked wonders for me. Don't worry, it is very common and will get better.

I am in my second trimester and the burning sensation in my chest is getting very uncomfortable, especially at night. Is it safe to drink cold milk during pregnancy to calm this down, or does it cause other issues? I am a bit hesitant to try anything without asking first.

My wife had terrible acid reflux when she was pregnant. What really worked for her was having very small meals every two hours instead of major heavy meals, and staying upright for a bit after eating. Also, avoid carbonated drinks completely because they just trigger the gas and reflux.

I am facing terrible acid reflux every single time I eat even a simple, non-spicy meal, and it is making me so anxious. Does anyone else also feel this constant burning in their throat during their third trimester? I would love to know what worked for you.

When my daughter-in-law was expecting, we gave her fresh, cold buttermilk with a little cumin powder after lunch. It is very gentle on the stomach and keeps the body cool. Simple, light meals cooked with less oil are the best way to keep the mother comfortable.

In our family, we suggest chewing on a little bit of fennel seeds (saunf) after meals to help with digestion during pregnancy. Drinking small sips of warm coconut water can also cool the stomach nicely. But if the burning is too much, please ask your doctor before taking any syrups.
