How to soothe pregnancy heartburn?

I'm in my second trimester and this pregnancy heartburn is making me miserable, especially at night. It feels like my throat is burning. Any tips on how to soothe it so I can get some sleep?

During my pregnancy, I found that eating small, frequent meals rather than three large ones kept heartburn under control. Sleeping with my head slightly elevated also helped prevent acid reflux. However, always consult your gynecologist before taking any antacids.

My wife had terrible heartburn in her third trimester. The doctor told her to stop drinking water during meals, and instead have it in between. Also, cutting out late-night heavy dinners and walking for fifteen minutes post-dinner worked wonders.

I don't have time for elaborate remedies while managing client meetings. I keep a bottle of cold milk handy at the office, and a few sips give instant relief when the burning starts. Mention it to your doctor in your next routine checkup for a safe prescription.

Currently awake at 3 AM because my baby is pressing on my stomach and sending acid straight to my throat. Honestly, chewing on a piece of fennel seeds (saunf) is the only thing keeping me sane right now. Pregnancy is beautiful, they said!

Pregnancy heartburn is absolutely exhausting. Try having cold milk and avoid sleeping right after eating.

Please don't just keep drinking cold milk if the burning is severe. I ignored my constant heartburn thinking it was normal, and it led to severe throat irritation and difficulty swallowing. Inform your gynecologist so they can manage it safely.
