How to sleep with wavy hair?

I have wavy hair and it always gets super frizzy and undefined by morning, no matter what I do. Any good tips for sleeping that will keep my waves intact and prevent frizz?

While we usually discuss medical issues here, hair care is important for scalp health too. If you want to protect your waves, sleeping on a silk or satin pillowcase reduces friction. Avoid sleeping with soaking wet hair as it can sometimes lead to scalp fungal issues, which doctors see quite often.

I used to sleep with wet, messy hair all the time and ignored the persistent itchy scalp and hair fall that followed. It turned out to be a severe scalp infection that took months to cure. Please make sure your scalp is dry before you go to bed, or at least use a microfiber towel to absorb the moisture.

You don't need to buy expensive imported silk pillowcases for this. I just bought a cheap satin fabric piece from the local market for 80 rupees and stitched it over my regular pillow. It works perfectly to stop hair breakage and frizz overnight without spending a bomb.

I recently started trying to maintain my natural waves but they always look frizzy in the morning. Is it better to tie them up in a loose bun or just let them loose? I am a bit confused about what is gentler on the hair.

Actually, the pineapple method is the best for wavy hair, yaar. You just flip your hair forward and tie it in a very loose ponytail right on top of your head with a satin scrunchie. It keeps the waves intact and you don't wake up looking like a nest!

I've been reading up on how to preserve waves overnight because my hair is always a wild mess in the morning. A lot of curly-hair blogs suggest using a satin bonnet. It seems simple enough to try, has anyone here had good results with it?

Bro, just twist your waves into a loose top knot before hitting the bed. I started doing this because my hair would get super messy and flat by morning. It takes literally two seconds and keeps the volume alive.
