How to sleep with upper back pain?

My upper back pain is constant these days, and it's making it very hard to get a good night's sleep. I toss and turn all night. What's the best sleeping position for upper back pain?

Put a little warm mustard oil with garlic on your upper back before sleeping, it helps soothe the muscles. Sleep on a firm surface rather than a soft, sinking bed. If the pain is very sharp or doesn't go away in a few days, please consult a proper doctor.

My son got terrible upper back pain from carrying his heavy school bag. I made him sleep on his back without any high pillows, just a flat one, and put a warm heating pad under his shoulders for 10 minutes before sleeping. It helped him relax and fall asleep much faster.

At my age, back pain comes and goes, so don't get too worried about it. I have found that sleeping on my back with a very thin pillow under my head and a regular pillow under my knees keeps the spine straight and gives great relief. Give it a few days, it will get better.

Upper back pain makes it so difficult to find a good position, ho na. Try sleeping on your side and hug a thick pillow so your shoulders don't slump forward. It really relaxes the upper back muscles, honestly.

A warm compress or hot shower before bed can really help loosen up tight upper back muscles. But please be careful, if you feel any numbness in your arms or chest tightness along with the back pain, go to a doctor immediately.

I just recovered from severe upper back stiffness caused by bad posture. What worked for me was ditching my fluffy pillow for an ergonomic memory foam one and sleeping strictly on my back. It keeps the neck and upper spine in a perfect line.

Bro, my upper back was wrecked from slouching during online classes. I started sleeping flat on my back on the floor with just a yoga mat and a thin sheet for a couple of nights. Sounds crazy but it actually straightened out the stiffness so fast!

For my back pain, sleeping on a firm mattress with a supportive cervical pillow helps a lot. Since I manage diabetes, I also make sure to avoid any sugary night-time drinks that might cause inflammation, and stick to simple warm water instead.

I hope your pain reduces soon. Try sleeping on your side with a pillow tucked between your knees and arms to keep your spine relaxed. Rest well tonight.

My grandmother used to suggest a hot water bag therapy, which is very soothing. However, when my upper back pain persisted, my doctor advised me to sleep on my side with a pillow supporting my neck properly so there is no strain. It is best to get a professional opinion if it doesn't reduce.
