How to sleep with rib pain during pregnancy?

I'm in my third trimester, and lately, this rib pain is just killing me, especially at night. It's so hard to find a comfortable position to sleep in. Any tips for getting some rest?

I just went through this last month during my third trimester. Honestly, keeping a soft nursing pillow right under my belly and one between my knees was the only way I could get some sleep. Try not to lie flat on your back at all because it just makes the pressure on your ribs so much worse.

My wife had this severe rib pain when she was expecting our second child. Along with using a pregnancy wedge pillow, we noticed that heavy, sugary dinners made her feel more bloated, which increased the rib pressure. Keeping dinner light and having an early walk really helped her sleep much more comfortably.

The rib pain is usually just the baby pushing upwards, but sleeping can be a nightmare. I highly recommend buying a full-body U-shaped pillow to support your sides. Also, try doing some gentle arms-overhead stretches before lying down to create some space in your torso.

Yaar, that rib pain is actually the worst, feels like someone is poking you from inside. I used to prop myself up with three pillows and sleep in a semi-sitting position because sleeping straight was impossible. Try it tonight, it really gives some relief to your rib cage.

While pillow support helps, please make sure you tell your doctor about this rib pain at your next checkup. Sometimes pain in the upper right rib area can be linked to blood pressure issues during pregnancy. It is always better to get a quick green light from your OB-GYN.

Haan, pregnancy main ye rib pain bahut tang karta hai, especially in the last few months. Sleeping on the left side is the best, but make sure you put a thick pillow under your arm and chest to lift the pressure, na. Take it easy and don't stretch too suddenly.

Sometimes gas and acidity can make the rib pain feel even sharper during pregnancy. Try having some warm fennel water after a light vegetarian dinner and avoid anything too spicy or oily before bed. Sleeping slightly elevated on your left side helps with both digestion and the physical pressure.

My daughter had terrible rib pain during her eighth month, she couldn't sleep at all. I got her a memory foam mattress topper and made her sleep on her left side with a soft cushion wedged right under her rib cage. It really helped ease the strain so she could get some decent sleep.

My wife had this exact issue last year. I helped her set up a fort of pillows so she could sleep at a 45-degree angle. Sleeping completely flat was just too painful for her ribs, so keeping her upper body elevated with those big cushions was the only thing that worked.

I used to ignore my rib pain thinking it was just the baby kicking, but it turned out to be a muscle strain that got worse because I didn't rest properly. Please don't just tolerate the pain like I did. Talk to your doc to make sure everything is fine and ask for safe stretching exercises.

Look, pregnancy rib pain is very common because the baby is growing, but don't suffer silently. Use a hot water bag wrapped in a towel for 10 minutes before bed, and sleep on your side with a proper pillow setup. If the pain is too sharp or doesn't let you breathe, go straight to the doctor.

My doctor always told me that any new pain during pregnancy should be monitored, especially if you have high BP. Try sleeping in an upright, relaxed position with lots of back support to see if it reduces the rib pressure. But please do get your blood pressure checked regularly just to be safe.
