How to relieve numbness in fingers during pregnancy?

I'm in my second trimester, and lately, my fingers have been going numb quite often, especially when I wake up. It's a strange sensation. Is there anything I can do to relieve this numbness during pregnancy?

Numbness in fingers during pregnancy is often due to fluid retention causing carpal tunnel syndrome. Try to keep your wrists in a neutral position, especially at night – you can use wrist splints. Also, gentle hand exercises and elevating your hands when resting might help reduce swelling. If it's persistent, mention it to your OB-GYN.

Beti, during pregnancy, many small things change in body. This numbness might be because of swelling. Try to rest your hands and don't lift heavy things. My mother used to say, sometimes gentle massage with warm oil also helps. But do tell your doctor when you go for your next checkup, okay?

Oh, I totally had this too! It was so weird, my fingers would just go numb. My doctor said it's super common because of the extra fluids. She told me to try sleeping with my hands elevated on a pillow and to do gentle wrist circles. It really did help a bit, give it a try!

My dear, during pregnancy, your body goes through many changes. Numbness in fingers can be from water retention. Try to do some very gentle hand exercises, like opening and closing your fist slowly. And rest your hands often. But always talk to your lady doctor, she knows best for you and the baby.

Interesting, I didn't know fingers can go numb during pregnancy! Is it like a tingling sensation or just a complete loss of feeling? It sounds kinda scary to experience that. Hope you find a good solution for it!
