How to reduce pain of wisdom teeth?

My wisdom tooth has started coming in, and the pain is quite intense, especially at night. It's difficult to sleep or even open my mouth wide. What can I do to reduce the pain of my wisdom teeth before I see the dentist next week?

I was researching about this because my lower jaw is hurting. It seems wisdom teeth often get impacted because there's no space in the jaw, which causes that throbbing ache. Saltwater rinses are highly recommended as a safe first step.

When my wisdom tooth was erupting, chewing was a nightmare. I survived purely on chilled mango shakes, fruit custards, and cold khichdi. Warm things made the pain worse, so sticking to soft, cool foods is the way to go!

Warm saline rinses 3-4 times a day can help keep the area clean and reduce bacterial buildup around the gum flap. I tracked my pain levels and noticed they spiked whenever my hydration was low, so keep drinking water. But definitely book a dentist appointment.

Bro, just go to a dentist and get an X-ray. I tried bearing the pain with clove oil for weeks, but the tooth was growing sideways and damaging my other teeth. Getting it extracted is much easier than living with the constant ache.

Wisdom tooth pain is the worst, yaar. Actually, ice packs on the cheek really help to numb the throbbing jaw pain when you are trying to sleep. But don't delay, just go get an extraction done if the dentist advises it.

I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed in my late twenties. Applying clove oil directly with a cotton bud gives temporary relief, but it won't solve the issue if the tooth is impacted. Go to a dentist and see if you need an extraction.
