During pregnancy, you must be very careful. You can do cool water sponging on your neck and forehead to bring the temperature down safely. But please do not take any over-the-counter fever medicines without calling your gynecologist first.

Beta, in our times we used to drink light warm water and rest in a well-ventilated room. Do not cover yourself with thick blankets as it increases the body heat. But since you are expecting, always ask your doctor before trying any heavy herbal kadhas.

Please contact your gynecologist immediately, as high fever during pregnancy requires safe, doctor-prescribed medication.

Even if you usually love staying active, a fever means you must rest completely. Do not try to do your usual prenatal walks or stretches until your temperature returns to normal and your doctor gives you the green light.

When your body is fighting a fever, your metabolic rate goes up, which is even more taxing during pregnancy. Avoid any kind of exertion or physical activity right now. Focus purely on rest, easy-to-digest protein, and lots of fluids.

My wife had a fever in her second trimester last year. Our doctor strictly told us not to self-medicate and prescribed a safe dosage of paracetamol. We also kept her hydrated with fresh coconut water and light lime water.

During my pregnancy, I had a mild fever and my doctor told me that only paracetamol was safe for me. I just kept myself hydrated with light soups and slept as much as possible. It is best to stick strictly to your doctor's instructions.

My sister was super stressed about having a fever during her pregnancy. The doc told her to just rest, drink water, and not panic because stress makes it worse. Definitely call your gynecologist instead of googling symptoms.

I just recovered from a viral fever last week during my seventh month. My doctor advised me to take normal sponge baths and prescribed paracetamol. It is very important to monitor your baby's movements and call the hospital if you feel any cramping or reduced activity.

The most practical thing to do is to drop all office work, take medical leave, and consult your gynecologist immediately. High maternal temperature is not good for the baby, so getting a safe, quick prescription is your top priority.
