When my daughter gets a fever, I just focus on keeping her comfortable. I put her in loose cotton clothes and keep wiping her body with a damp cloth. I always call our pediatrician before giving any medicine dosage because a child's weight matters.

Bachon ko fever aata hai toh hum bohot dar jaate hain, haan na. Sponge bathing sabse best hai unke liye, normal pani se. Thoda sa khichdi ya soup pilao aur unhe aaram karne do.

While keeping children hydrated is important, avoid giving them ready-made packed juices which have high artificial sugar. Diluted fresh orange juice or plain coconut water is a much safer option for their system.

Keep your mind strong and positive, motherly love is the best medicine. Just keep holding your child, give them light foods, and let them rest peacefully. Everything will be fine very soon.

Please keep the child well-hydrated with small sips of water or coconut water. Make sure they get plenty of rest in a quiet, cool room.

A simple sponge bath with lukewarm water can instantly bring down a child's fever. However, if the child is lethargic, vomiting, or if the fever persists for more than 24 hours, do not wait at home and see a pediatrician immediately.

Kids lose appetite during fever, so don't force heavy meals on them. My little niece only likes cold apple sauce or fresh fruit popsicles when she is sick. It keeps them hydrated and gives them a bit of natural sugar boost too.

Actually, don't wrap the kid in heavy blankets, yaar, it just spikes the temperature more. Keep the room temperature normal and use a wet hanky on their forehead. It works wonders to bring the heat down quickly.
