How to not have loose skin after weight loss?

I've been on a weight loss journey and have lost about 15 kgs, but I'm worried about having loose skin if I lose more. My bhabhi has it after her big weight loss. What can I do to make sure I don't have loose skin after weight loss?

I panicked like crazy when I saw loose skin around my belly after losing 25 kgs rapidly. But honestly, as I continued strength training and kept my skin hydrated, it naturally tightened up a bit over the next year. Don't worry, give your body some time to adapt to your new size.

Losing weight doesn't mean we stop eating good food altogether! Including protein-rich items like paneer, soya, and eggs helps maintain muscle mass while you shed fat. Just don't starve yourself on crash diets, otherwise your skin will lose its glow and elasticity completely.

My elders always suggested massaging the skin with coconut oil to improve circulation and elasticity. While that is a good soothing practice, my dermatologist explained that actual skin tightening depends on your age, genetics, and how slow you lose weight. It's always best to follow professional advice for realistic expectations.

I was looking up some fitness articles on this, and they all recommend losing weight slowly—about 1 to 2 pounds a week maximum. Rapid weight loss doesn't give the skin enough time to shrink back. It seems like patience and consistent weight lifting is the actual secret here.

When my son lost a lot of weight during his college years, he developed some loose skin, which made him feel very self-conscious. I encouraged him to focus on strength training and eating fresh home-cooked meals with plenty of protein. Parents, please support your kids and reassure them that their health is what matters most.
