How to lose weight on thyroid meds?

My doctor prescribed thyroid medication a few months back, and while my reports are better, I'm still struggling with my weight. Are there any specific tips or things I should do differently to lose weight while taking these medicines?

Managing any condition with medication means lifestyle changes are even more critical. Make sure your thyroid levels are stable, and then focus on diet and exercise that your doctor approves. Regular checkups are a must.

Ugh, tell me about it, even breathing feels like a workout sometimes with thyroid! 😂 Seriously though, sleep is SO important. If you're sleep deprived, your body holds onto weight. Try to fix that first, along with meds.

It's all about consistency. Calorie deficit, protein-rich diet, and at least 30 mins of activity daily. Don't expect magic overnight, it's a slow and steady process especially with thyroid. Get your meds right.

I'm new to this, also on thyroid meds. Is there any particular type of food or exercise that works better, or is it different for everyone? I'm feeling a bit lost.

Gentle yoga and pranayama have helped me manage my overall well-being, which indirectly supports weight management. It reduces stress, which is often a factor. Always listen to your body and your doctor, though.
