How to lose weight after thyroid removal?

I recently had my thyroid removed, and I've noticed it's much harder to manage my weight now. My doctor mentioned it can affect metabolism. What's the best approach to lose weight after a thyroidectomy?

Oh, I understand this completely. It's so frustrating when you feel like your body isn't responding the way it used to. The weight gain after thyroid issues, especially surgery, can be really disheartening. Just know you're not alone, and it's a genuine struggle many of us face.

Relax, don't panic. After my thyroid was removed, I also gained some weight and was really worried. But once my thyroid hormone levels were stabilized with medication, it became much easier. It takes time for your body to adjust to the new normal and the medication. Just be patient and consistent.

Lose weight after thyroid removal? Meri toh neend hi udd gayi hai, how will I even think about losing weight? Honestly, it feels like my metabolism took a holiday and never came back. I just try to eat clean when I can, and dream of fitting into my old jeans again one day. Good luck, you'll need it!

Consult a endocrinologist

This is a very common concern. The most critical thing is to ensure your thyroid hormone replacement dosage is optimized. Your endocrinologist from a reputable hospital should be regularly monitoring your TSH, T3, and T4 levels. Once those are stable, then discuss a specific diet and exercise plan with them. It’s a medical journey, so follow your doctor's exact instructions.

Your body has been through a lot, so treat it with kindness. Focus on healing and inner peace. Eat nourishing foods, practice gentle yoga or meditation to balance your energies. Trust the process, and stay positive. The physical changes will follow with a calm mind. Consult your doctors for proper medical advice.

Dekho, after thyroid removal, it's all about getting your hormone levels right with the medicine. Once that's settled by the doc, then you can work on diet and light exercise. Don't try any quick fixes, just follow your doctor's advice properly. Thoda time lagega, but it will happen.
