How to help postpartum hair loss?

It's been a few months since I delivered my baby, and my hair is falling out like crazy. My mother-in-law says it's normal after pregnancy, but I'm losing so much. What can I do to help with this postpartum hair loss?

Beta, postpartum hair loss is very common because of hormonal changes after childbirth. Do not worry, your hair will grow back naturally. Just keep eating a nutritious diet with milk, dry fruits, and green vegetables.

I panicked so much when my hair started falling out in clumps around the fourth month postpartum, I thought I would go bald! But my doctor reassured me it is just the estrogen drop. It stopped automatically by the ninth month, so don't stress.

Instead of spending thousands on expensive postpartum hair serums that don't guarantee results, focus on your basic nutrition. You can get a simple blood test done to check your ferritin and thyroid levels at any local lab to see if you need supplements.

Don't stress, little sister, this is just a temporary phase. Your body has gone through a major journey to bring a baby into this world. Keep taking your iron and calcium supplements as advised by your doctor and eat well.

Postpartum hair thinning is purely hormonal and usually peaks at 4 months. Avoid harsh chemical treatments or tight hairstyles that pull the roots. Just continue your prenatal vitamins and consult your doctor if it persists past a year.
