How to help hip pain during pregnancy?

I'm in my third trimester, and the hip pain is becoming really intense, making it hard to walk or even change positions in bed. My doctor said it's common, but it's really bothering me now. What are some safe ways to help with hip pain during pregnancy?

Sleeping with a pregnancy pillow between your knees is a lifesaver for hip pain. It helps keep your spine and hips aligned while you sleep on your side. Make sure to discuss this with your gynecologist during your next checkup as well.

I panicked so much when my hips started aching badly in the second trimester, thinking something was wrong. My doctor reassured me it's just the relaxin hormone preparing the pelvis. It got much better after I started using a supportive pillow, so don't worry too much!

My mother suggested a warm water bath to relax the hip muscles, which felt really soothing. However, it is always best to confirm with your gynecologist before trying any warm therapy or pelvic exercises.

Try to stay positive and keep your mind calm during this beautiful journey. Sit comfortably, take gentle deep breaths, and avoid standing for long periods. Take good care of your health and always consult your doctor.

Honestly, between the baby kicking and this constant hip pain, I haven't slept properly in weeks. I've tried piling up normal pillows under my hips which helps a tiny bit. If you find a magical solution, please let me know!

Don't start doing intense pregnancy stretches or yoga poses you see online, as they can strain your joints even more. Your ligaments are already loose due to hormones. Talk to your doctor or a certified prenatal physiotherapist first.
