How to help heartburn during pregnancy?

Since my pregnancy started, I've been having terrible heartburn, especially after meals and at night. It's making it hard to sleep. Are there any safe remedies to help with heartburn during pregnancy?

My wife faced terrible heartburn during her pregnancy, and honestly, even I got acidity just watching her struggle! Staying upright for an hour after eating and avoiding spicy dinner helped her quite a bit. Don't worry, once the baby is born, your stomach will go back to normal.

I can only share what worked for me during my pregnancy days. I used to have a small glass of cold milk whenever I felt that burning sensation, and it gave me instant relief. But do talk to your doctor about what is safe for you.

To manage heartburn while working, I avoided tea and coffee during office hours and switched to buttermilk. Also, make sure you don't lie down immediately after your lunch. If it persists, just drop a message to your doctor for a safe antacid.

Ah, the joys of pregnancy where even a glass of water can give you heartburn! Try propping yourself up with extra pillows at night so gravity works in your favor. Hang in there, the little one is just making their presence felt!

My sister went through this recently. She stopped eating large meals and started having 5-6 small snacks throughout the day instead. It really helped reduce her acidity issues, so maybe you can try that too.

I used to worry so much that the acidity would affect the baby, but my doctor reassured me it's just hormonal changes. Try avoiding oily foods completely and sleep on your left side. Definitely ask your gynecologist if it gets too uncomfortable so you don't stress.
