How to help baby with teething pain?

My 8-month-old has started teething, and he's constantly irritable, chewing on everything, and waking up at night. It's heartbreaking to see him in discomfort. What can we do to help our baby with teething pain?

I totally get it, teething phase is so tough and seeing your little baby cranky and drooling all day is very heart-wrenching. Try giving them a clean, cold washcloth to chew on—the cold really helps numb their sore gums and gives them some relief.

For teething irritation, keeping some silicone teethers in the fridge (never the freezer, as too cold can hurt) and letting the baby chew on them is very safe and helpful. Just avoid those teething gels with numbing agents unless your pediatrician specifically prescribes them.

I tried various home remedies for my kids, and honestly, giving them cold carrot sticks (under close supervision so they don't choke) worked best to soothe their gums. Gently massaging their gums with a clean finger also helps ease the pressure they feel.

At this point, my baby is chewing on everything from my fingers to the TV remote like a little puppy! Keeping some cold plastic-free teethers handy is the only way to save my furniture and my sanity. Hang in there, those teeth will come out eventually!

Teething is a real test of patience for parents, yaar! Actually, giving them a cold apple slice wrapped in a mesh feeder was a lifesaver for my kid. It keeps them busy and cools down their irritated gums nicely.
