How to get rid of perimenopause weight gain?

My doctor said I'm entering perimenopause, and since then, I've noticed I'm gaining weight, especially around my belly, even though my diet hasn't changed much. It's so frustrating! What can I do to manage or get rid of this perimenopause weight gain?

As our estrogen levels drop, our metabolism naturally slows down, making strength training very important to maintain muscle mass. If your doctor allows, try incorporating light dumbbells or resistance bands into your routine twice a week. Active movement and walking will help keep your energy high.

No need to buy expensive diet foods or join high-end gyms to manage this weight. Just reducing your portion size of daily rice or roti, eating more dal and green vegetables, and walking for 45 minutes daily works wonderfully. Consistent, simple lifestyle changes are best during this phase.

Before starting any intense diet or fitness regime for weight gain during perimenopause, please consult your gynecologist. It is very important to check your thyroid levels and bone density first to ensure you are exercising safely. A professional medical opinion will help you plan better.

Listen, your body is going through a massive hormonal transition, so please don't be too harsh on yourself or starve. Just focus on eating clean, home-cooked food, getting deep restful sleep, and managing your stress. You will get through this phase beautifully, just take care of your health first.
