How to get rid of heartburn during pregnancy fast?

I'm pregnant, and the heartburn has become really bad, especially after meals. It's uncomfortable and keeps me up at night. Is there anything safe I can do to get rid of heartburn quickly during pregnancy?

Haan, pregnancy heartburn is really the worst, mere time pe bhi bohot tang kiya tha. You can try having a few sips of cold milk, isse instant relief milta hai. Dinner jaldi kiya karo na, don't sleep immediately after meals.

For severe heartburn, keeping a check on your routine helps a lot. I have BP issues so I know how small triggers ruin your day, definitely avoid spicy dinner and try sitting upright for an hour after eating. Please get your BP and regular vitals checked by your gynaecologist too just to be safe.

My sister was struggling with bad acidity during her third trimester. Doctor told her to strictly avoid sodas, citrus fruits, and heavy oils. She started taking small walks after dinner and it actually solved most of her issues.

I completely understand how exhausting this is, it literally kept me crying some nights. Please don't force yourself to eat heavy meals just because people say so, try small portions. Hang in there, this phase will pass once the baby is born.

Does it also get worse the moment you try to lie down? I'm going through this right now and it is making me so anxious. I use an extra pillow to elevate my head but it still burns sometimes, are others also facing this daily?

Hey! Chewing on a little piece of ginger or keeping saunf handy worked wonders for my wife during her months. Also try coconut water in the afternoon, it keeps everything cool and fresh! 😊
