How to get rid of dandruff using home remedies?

My wife keeps telling me to try some home remedies for my persistent dandruff. Can anyone suggest effective ways to get rid of dandruff using only home remedies?

I used to get bad winter dandruff every year. What works for me is mixing a little lemon juice with warm coconut oil, applying it for 30 minutes, and then washing it off. Just don't leave the lemon on for too long as it can make your scalp dry.

Honestly, do not ignore it if it starts itching or scaling badly. I kept trying home remedies for months thinking it was normal dandruff, but it turned out to be a severe fungal infection that caused hair loss. Please get it checked by a doc before it gets worse.

I literally just got rid of my dandruff last month. Sour curd (dahi) applied to the scalp for about 20 minutes before a bath worked like magic for me. It cools down the head and the itching stopped from the very first wash.

I totally get it, dandruff can be so annoying and embarrassing when you are out in public. It makes you feel like you can't even touch your hair. Try using diluted apple cider vinegar as a final rinse after your shampoo, it really helps soothe the itchiness.

It is completely fine to feel stressed about this, I used to panic thinking I was losing all my hair because of the flakes. But please don't worry, it is very manageable. A simple aloe vera gel massage on the scalp before washing can help calm down the inflammation.

My mom tried to put neem paste on my head once, and I smelled like a bitter herb for three days straight! The dandruff did go away, but so did my friends for a week. Use neem if you want, but maybe do it on a weekend when you don't have to meet anyone.

With my diabetes, I have to be very careful with skin infections and dryness. I avoid random sweet hair packs and stick to simple diluted neem water rinses. Managing your blood sugar also plays a huge role in keeping these fungal scalp issues under control.
