How to get rid of dandruff homemade remedies?

My scalp feels so itchy and flaky, it's really embarrassing sometimes. Are there any good homemade remedies that actually work for dandruff? I want to try something before buying more shampoos.

My teenage daughter was struggling with bad dandruff and was feeling very low about it. We tried a mild homemade paste of soaked methi seeds, which helped reduce the itching quite a bit. But we also made sure she washed her hair twice a week with a gentle baby shampoo to keep it clean.

Along with any homemade hair masks, focus on your daily hydration and cut down on greasy cheat meals. I notice my scalp gets way flakier when my diet is off and I'm skipping my cardio. Sweating it out during workouts helps clear skin pores, just wash your hair right after.

I can only speak from my own experience, but applying a mixture of diluted apple cider vinegar and water worked for my mild itching. I am not a doctor, so I can't say if it works for everyone or for severe scalp issues. It might be worth a try if your condition is very mild.

I totally get it, nobody wants to walk around with white flakes falling on their shoulders all day. It can really affect your confidence during social gatherings. A light aloe vera gel application before washing might give you some temporary relief from the dryness.

My mom tried to cure my dandruff with a homemade onion juice recipe once, and honestly, the smell was so strong that even the mosquitoes stayed away from me for a week! It did help the scalp a bit, but please use it only if you plan to stay indoors alone!

Don't worry too much, this is a very common issue and we can solve it step by step. If you want a simple remedy, just apply diluted tea tree oil mixed with a gentle base oil like jojoba for 10 minutes. If the scaling is very thick or painful, let's skip the home remedies and show it to a dermatologist.

I tracked my scalp health alongside my water intake and sleep cycles on my health app for a month. I noticed that dry air and dehydration made my flaking much worse, regardless of the homemade remedies I applied. Keeping your hydration levels optimal is just as important as any external hair mask.

With my PCOS, hormonal fluctuations often cause my scalp to produce excess oil, leading to stubborn dandruff. I tried curd masks, but they sometimes made my scalp too greasy. I've learned to be very cautious and always consult my doctor before trying heavy DIY remedies.
