How to get better quality sleep?

Lately, I've been sleeping but still waking up feeling unrefreshed, like my sleep isn't 'good' enough. What are some ways to improve the overall quality of my sleep?

Oh, quality sleep! The dream! I try to avoid my late-night snack cravings, especially anything spicy or too sweet, because then my stomach is working overtime instead of my body resting. A light chamomile tea sometimes helps, but biryani before bed is a no-no!

My son used to have terrible sleep, and for us, a strict bedtime routine worked wonders. Same time every night, warm bath, quiet story, dark room. Also, make sure the room temperature is just right, not too hot or cold for comfort.

Regular exercise, especially a good walk or yoga during the day, can significantly improve sleep quality. Just make sure you're not doing intense workouts too close to bedtime, as that can be stimulating. Always check with your doctor if you're starting a new regimen.

Good sleep is the foundation of good health. A consistent sleep schedule, even on weekends, makes a huge difference. Reduce screen time an hour before bed and create a relaxing bedtime ritual. Small changes accumulate into big results.

I'm also researching this! Everyone talks about screen time, but I wonder if my coffee habit is the real culprit. And sometimes I just can't switch off my brain. So many things affect sleep, it's confusing!

As a working professional, I know time is short. Focus on the big rocks: fixed bedtime/wake time, even on weekends. No screen one hour before bed – use that time to prep for the next day or read a physical book. It's tough but makes a difference.

Bro, for me, cutting out late-night gaming and just reading a book instead made a huge difference. Also, don't eat heavy right before bed. Keep the room dark and cool, seriously. It helps a lot, trust me.

A good sleep environment is key. Ensure your mattress and pillows are supportive. Also, a warm bath before bed can help relax your muscles. If you're consistently struggling, it's wise to check with a GP to rule out any underlying medical conditions.

Simple funda: discipline. Go to bed at same time, wake up same time. Stay off mobile for an hour before sleep. Eat light dinner. Don't overthink it, just do it. Results will come.

Before thinking about expensive gadgets or sleep clinics, try free things. Make your room dark, quiet, and cool. Avoid late-night eating. If still no improvement, then consider seeing a doctor; sleep studies can be costly, so try simple fixes first.

My grandmother always said, 'Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise.' For me, reducing screen time and having a light, early dinner works. But if you have chronic sleep issues, a doctor's advice is always important.

Optimize your bedroom environment. Dark, quiet, cool. That's it. And cut out evening caffeine and alcohol. Period. Your body needs consistency, so stick to a bedtime. No shortcuts.

Oh, sleep quality is so important, it affects everything! I constantly worry if I'm getting enough deep sleep. I've read about sleep hygiene – keeping your bedroom dark, quiet, and cool. Also, try not to look at the clock if you wake up, that just makes me more anxious.

Beti, in our time, we used to have a glass of warm milk with a pinch of haldi before sleeping. It calms the mind. And don't keep too many worries in your head when you lie down. Remember, though, if problems are big, talk to the doctor; home remedies are for small things.
