How to get baby to sleep in bassinet?

My baby is three months old and just refuses to sleep in her bassinet, preferring to be held all the time. I'm exhausted! What are some tricks to get my baby to sleep in her bassinet?

Oh, this is a common struggle! Swaddling and a consistent routine really help. Try warming the bassinet sheet slightly before putting baby down.

While my focus is usually on managing my blood sugar, I've heard from many new parents that making sure the baby isn't too hot or cold, and having a full tummy, is key for sleep. But don't offer sugary drinks or anything like that, of course.

Beta, it takes time. Don't expect overnight miracles. Keep trying to put the baby down when drowsy, not fully asleep. A dark room and maybe some shushing sounds work for many. Don't give up!

Yaar, bassinet is a struggle, na? Actually, my cousin put her baby's T-shirt, which smelled like her, in the bassinet before putting the baby down. Said it helped the baby feel like she was still close. Could try that!

Ugh, my baby just refused the bassinet too! It made me so worried. Did anyone else feel like their baby just absolutely hated it no matter what? I tried everything everyone suggested, but it was like a tiny dictator.
