How to find due date in pregnancy?

My periods have been irregular, and I think I might be pregnant. I need to figure out my due date, but I'm not exactly sure when my last period started.

For many, it's about 40 weeks from the first day of your last menstrual period (LMP). But if your cycles are irregular, like mine used to be with PCOS, that calculation might not be super accurate. The early ultrasound is key then, it measures the baby and gives a more precise date. Always confirm with your gynaecologist.

Yaar, usually docs ask for your last period date (LMP). From there, they add 40 weeks. But actually, the most accurate is your first ultrasound scan. That gives a much better idea of the baby's growth and hence the due date. Don't worry too much, they'll tell you properly.

Congrats on your pregnancy! 🎉 The most common way is to count 40 weeks from the first day of your last period. But honestly, the dating scan (early ultrasound) is the best! My doc gave me a super clear date after that. Don't stress, just enjoy the journey! 😊

Generally, it's calculated from the first day of your last period, adding 280 days or 40 weeks. However, the initial ultrasound by your doctor provides the most reliable date, as it assesses the baby's development. Just relax and trust your doctor's guidance, that's what I did. Do some light pranayama to stay calm.

When I was pregnant, my doctor explained it clearly. They first ask for your Last Menstrual Period (LMP) and then usually confirm with the first ultrasound. That scan gives a very accurate date based on the baby's size. Just ask your doctor in the hospital, they'll give you all the details you need.

Don't go by every 'due date calculator' online, many are just approximations. The only reliable way is to visit a gynaecologist. They'll use your last menstrual period and, more importantly, an early ultrasound to give you a proper, medically sound due date. Always verify with a qualified doctor.
