How to figure out percentage of body weight loss?

I've lost some weight and want to see how much of my body weight I've actually lost in terms of percentage. How do I figure out the percentage of body weight loss accurately? Is it a simple calculation?

I just calculated mine! Take your starting weight, say 80kg. If you're now 75kg, you've lost 5kg. So, (5 / 80) * 100 = 6.25%. That's your percentage. It's a great way to track progress, especially for longer term goals. Keep a log!

Oh, I remember obsessing over this when I started my weight loss journey! It's just simple math: (Starting Weight - Current Weight) / Starting Weight * 100. Don't worry if the numbers don't move fast every week, consistency is what truly matters. Celebrate small victories!

It's totally normal to want to track progress accurately, I used to get so stressed if I wasn't sure how to measure things! Just remember, the formula is simple: (Starting Weight - Current Weight) / Starting Weight * 100. But more important than the number is how you feel. Don't let the calculation add to your anxiety, it's just a tool.

Hello! It's good you're tracking this. To find the percentage, you take the amount of weight you've lost, divide it by your original starting weight, and then multiply by 100. For example, if you started at 70kg and lost 7kg, that's (7/70)*100 = 10% weight loss. Keep up the good work!

It's super motivating to see that percentage change! 🎉 Just do (Weight Lost / Starting Weight) x 100. Like, if you lose 5 kg from 60 kg, that's 8.33%! Keep celebrating every milestone! You're doing great! ✨

For me, tracking weight loss percentage is important because even a small percentage loss can significantly improve blood sugar control. So, yes, use the formula: (lost weight / initial weight) * 100. But always remember, for diabetics, focus on healthy, sustainable loss, not crash diets. Consult your doctor.

Oh, I was just wondering about this! So it's basically the lost weight divided by the initial weight. Makes sense. Good to know how to properly calculate it rather than just looking at the absolute numbers on the scale.
