How to fight weight gain during menopause?

My mother went through menopause and gained a lot of weight, and now I'm starting to experience it too. It's becoming harder to lose weight even with diet and exercise. Are there specific strategies for weight gain during menopause?

Having dealt with PCOS and its effect on weight, I'd say the key is consistency and not going for extremes. Menopause weight gain is hormonal, so be patient. Focus on balanced meals, adequate protein, and gentle but regular exercise. And always, always keep your doctor in the loop.

From my experience, focusing on fresh, home-cooked vegetarian meals helped. More lentils, lots of vegetables, and whole grains. Avoid processed foods and too much sugar. And be mindful of portion sizes, even for healthy food.

My mom went through this, it was tough for her mentally too. She found that doing walks every day and cutting down on her evening chai-biscuit habit helped a lot. Also, she started drinking more water. Small steps make a difference.

For someone like me managing diabetes, weight gain is a constant concern. During menopause, it can be even harder. Keep an eye on your sugar intake, especially hidden sugars. And regular exercise isn't just for weight, it helps manage blood sugar too. Consult your doctor or a dietician for a personalized plan.

Yaar, this menopause weight gain is actually quite common. My bhabhi also struggled with it. She joined a yoga class and made sure to eat dinner earlier. Also, less stress, that's what doc told her. It's a journey, not a quick fix.

Ho na, body changes so much. Don't feel bad about it. What helps is to keep moving, even if it's just ghar pe. Aur thoda portion control. And most importantly, talk to your doctor about your hormones. They might have good solutions.

I just went through this struggle! What finally worked for me was a combination of strength training (even light weights at home) and being very disciplined about evening snacks. Also, cutting out fizzy drinks completely made a huge difference. It takes time, but it's possible!
