How to ease constipation during pregnancy?

I'm in my first trimester, and I've been really constipated, which is making me feel so uncomfortable and bloated. My doctor said it's common, but I want to know how to get some relief. Any safe tips for constipation during pregnancy?

My mother-in-law advised me to eat a few soaked figs every morning. It helped a lot, but always ask your gynecologist before taking any laxative syrup during these months.

Just try to drink a glass of warm water first thing in the morning and eat papaya if your doctor has allowed it. Keep your body moving slowly, it helps.

The baby is basically using your intestines as a cushion, so things are bound to get slow! Keep loading up on oats and green veggies to keep the traffic moving.

My elder sister went through this last year. She basically lived on coconut water and high-fiber apples, and it worked out pretty well for her.

A cup of warm milk with half a spoon of ghee at bedtime is a time-tested remedy. But if you have severe stomach pain or haven't passed stool for 4 days, please see your doctor.

Your prenatal iron supplements might be worsening the constipation. Ask your doctor if they can change the brand or suggest a safe stool softener for pregnancy.

I know how stressful it is to strain when you are pregnant, you keep worrying if it affects the baby. It is a very common issue, so please don't worry, just eat plenty of cucumber and salads.

I tracked my daily water intake using an app and realized I was barely drinking 1.5 liters. Bumping it to 2.5 liters and adding chia seeds completely sorted my gut issues.
