Managing my weight with PCOS has taught me to be very careful with protein shakes. I prefer pea or plant-based protein over whey because dairy sometimes triggers my acne and inflammation. I mix it with unsweetened almond water, but I always consult my gynecologist first.

I love blending my chocolate protein shake with half a banana and water! 🍌 It tastes like a dessert and keeps me super energetic for my workouts. It's such a fun way to stay on track with my fitness goals!

When I visited the clinical dietician at H.N. Reliance Hospital, she told me that excess protein can strain the kidneys if you have underlying issues. She advised getting a kidney function test before starting daily shakes. Please ask your doctor clearly first.

I have tried everything from methi water to protein shakes to lose weight. In my experience, a protein shake is helpful only if you drink it in water instead of a heavy evening snack. But don't depend entirely on powders, home-cooked sattu and chana are also great natural options.

I totally get it, finding the right way to manage calories is so tough when you have a busy life. Protein shakes really help with satiety, but please make sure you buy one with no artificial sugars. It makes a big difference to how you feel.
