How to deal with post pregnancy depression?

After having my baby six months ago, I've been feeling incredibly sad and overwhelmed, not just tired. My husband is worried about me. How can I deal with post-pregnancy depression and start feeling like myself again?

I'm just researching this for a friend. It sounds incredibly challenging. So is it like, similar to regular depression but specifically after having a baby? I'm trying to understand how best to support her. What's the main difference in how it's dealt with?

Haan yaar, post-pregnancy depression bahot real hota hai. It's not just 'baby blues', na? My bhabhi went through it. She felt so alone. The best thing was when she finally talked to her doctor and got therapy. And family support is super important. Don't feel ashamed, it happens.

Pehli baar jab maa bante hain, toh bahut kuch badalta hai. Kabhi kabhi man dukhi ho jata hai, woh normal hai. Lekin agar bahut din tak udasi rahe, toh beta, ghar ke bade buzurgon se baat karo, ya achhe doctor ko dikhao. Apne khane peene ka dhyan rakho, thoda aaram karo, aur apne mann ko shant rakhne ki koshish karo.

As someone who experienced it, I can tell you it's a very difficult and confusing time. I felt a lot of guilt and sadness, not the joy everyone expects. What helped me was having a strong support system around me and finally seeking help from a therapist. I can't give medical advice, but sharing your feelings with someone you trust is a crucial first step.
