How to counter the weight gain on seroquel?

My psychiatrist put me on Seroquel for my condition, and I've noticed a significant weight gain since then. It's really bothering me. Is there anything I can do to counter this weight gain on Seroquel?

Oh man, the late-night cravings on Seroquel are absolutely wild! I used to wake up wanting to eat a whole block of cheese or sweets. I started keeping low-calorie snacks like roasted makhana and cucumber slices ready, so even if I binged, it didn't completely ruin my progress.

Weight gain from such medications can be very challenging to manage. I found that practicing deep breathing exercises like Pranayama before dinner helped calm my nervous system and reduced impulsive eating. Please discuss these side effects gently with your doctor before making any major lifestyle changes.

Same here, dude, Seroquel made me gain so much weight in my first semester and I felt so down. I started walking 10k steps around campus and cut down on late-night canteen food. Definitely talk to your psychiatrist though, because sometimes they can adjust the dose or suggest an alternative.

At my age, I have realized that mental peace is far more important than a few extra kilos. However, you can manage this weight gain by eating simple, home-cooked meals with less oil and staying consistently active. Keep your treating physician informed about your weight changes so they can monitor your metabolic health.

Seroquel makes you sleep like a log and then wake up hungry enough to eat the refrigerator! I have to literally lock the kitchen cupboards at night to save myself. On a serious note, keep your doctor updated because they might need to check your thyroid or sugar levels if the weight gain is too rapid.
