How to control hair fall after pregnancy?

It's been a few months since I delivered my baby, and I'm experiencing significant hair fall. My hair used to be so thick, and now it's getting very thin. How can I control hair fall after pregnancy?

My wife thought she was going bald after our baby was born, we were finding hair everywhere except on her head! But don't worry, it's just postpartum shedding and her hair came back normal within a year.

Do not worry, child. This hair fall is very natural and happens because of the changes in your body after delivery. It will stop on its own in a few months, just focus on eating good food and feeding your baby.

Behen, don't worry at all. Drink plenty of milk, eat green vegetables, and put simple coconut oil in your hair twice a week. Your body is weak right now, it just needs some time to recover.

I thought my postpartum hair fall was normal, but it turned out my thyroid levels were completely off. Please get a simple thyroid test done during your post-delivery checkups just to be sure.

Haan, postpartum hair fall is really stressful, na. I also faced it and got so scared, but my doctor told me it is just hormones. Just keep taking your multivitamins regularly and don't tie your hair too tight.

Your body has created a beautiful life, so please be gentle with yourself. Stay positive, practice calm breathing when the baby sleeps, and take good care of your physical health.

This shedding is called telogen effluvium and usually peaks around 3-4 months post-delivery. Keep taking your prenatal vitamins if you are breastfeeding, and use a wide-toothed comb to avoid unnecessary pulling.

I got so anxious seeing clumps of hair in the shower that I couldn't sleep. If you are feeling the same way, please take a deep breath; it is a temporary phase and your hair will definitely grow back.

In our family, we give new mothers methi laddus and Gond laddus to help build strength from within. This helps nourish the body and control hair shedding naturally, but do consult your doctor before starting any heavy foods.

I can only share what worked for me after my second delivery. I got a short haircut to manage the shedding easily and started eating a mix of flaxseeds and sesame seeds daily, which helped my hair texture.

Don't buy those expensive 'postpartum hair loss' serums or oils advertised online, they are mostly marketing gimmicks. Consult your gynecologist first to check if you need to continue your iron and calcium supplements.

I went through this last year and it was so annoying! Just focus on eating well and don't stress over the hair on the floor. It stops automatically around the 6th month, so hang in there!
