How to combat glp1 hair loss?

I've started a new medication, GLP-1, and while it's helping with my diabetes, I'm experiencing significant hair loss. It's really concerning me. Is there anything I can do to combat GLP-1 hair loss?

Stress and rapid physical changes often manifest as hair fall. Try practicing Balayam (rubbing nails) and deep breathing exercises to improve blood circulation to your scalp, while allowing your body to adapt to your weight loss journey.

I lost a lot of hair when I dropped weight fast. My doctor said it's just telogen effluvium, which is basically shock hair loss from rapid weight loss, not the drug itself. Ensuring you eat enough protein daily helps stop the shedding.

If you are on GLP-1 medications, your caloric intake drops drastically, which means your hair follicles are starving for nutrition. You need to proactively supplement with multivitamins and biotin after consulting your doctor. Don't wait for all your hair to fall out.

No need to buy fancy, expensive hair serums. Just focus on adding simple protein sources like paneer, dal, and boiled eggs to your daily meals. When the body gets enough nutrition, the hair shedding naturally slows down.

Any major metabolic shift can trigger temporary hair shedding. It is highly recommended to speak with your prescribing physician to check if you need specific nutritional supplements to support your hair during this transition.

Don't panic! It is just a temporary phase of your weight loss transformation. Eat your proteins, keep your scalp clean, and let your body do its magic.

Man, seeing hair in the shower drain is so scary. I started using a wide-toothed comb and stopped using harsh styling gels while my body is adjusting to my new diet plan.

Totally agree. Keeping up with protein intake is absolutely essential to prevent this type of hair thinning.

It is indeed stressful to see your hair thinning during this treatment. Please be patient with your body; once your weight stabilizes, your hair will most likely grow back.

I ignored severe hair fall while on my weight loss routine, thinking it would stop on its own, but it turned out I had developed severe iron deficiency. Please get your ferritin and thyroid levels tested by a doctor before it gets worse.
