How to check pregnancy at home?

My period is delayed by almost a week, and I'm feeling a bit nauseous in the mornings. I'm wondering if I could be pregnant. What are the best ways to check for pregnancy at home?

I totally get it, waiting to find out can make you so anxious. The simplest and most reliable way is to buy a pregnancy test card from any local chemist. Just use your first morning urine for the test, as it has the highest hormone levels.

Don't go for complicated methods, just get a Prega News or any standard kit from the medical store for 50 rupees. Put three drops of your first morning urine into the small well on the card. Wait for five minutes to see if two pink lines appear.

The urine test cards are very cheap, costing only around 50 to 100 rupees. If you get a faint second line, don't waste money buying multiple expensive digital kits. Just wait two days and test again with the cheap kit, or go for a beta-hCG blood test directly.

I checked using a home kit on the day of my missed period and got a very faint line. Did anyone else also get a super faint line at first and it turned out positive? I am feeling so nervous, should I test again tomorrow morning?

Please use a proper medical test strip on the first day of your missed period. I once ignored my missed period and mild spotting, thinking it was just stress, and faced complications later. If the home test is positive, book an appointment with your gynecologist immediately.

I just went through this last month! I missed my period by two days, bought a standard urine kit from the chemist, and tested first thing in the morning. Got two bold red lines instantly. It is the most accurate and hassle-free way to check at home.
