How to check for liver damage?

I've been feeling unusually tired and sometimes my skin looks a bit yellowish. Could this be liver damage? What are the ways to check for liver damage and its early signs?

You can't 'check' for liver damage at home effectively. Time is important here. If you're experiencing persistent fatigue, unexplained weight loss, jaundice (yellow skin/eyes), dark urine, or swelling in your abdomen/legs, those are significant red flags. Go to a doctor ASAP. They'll run liver function tests (LFTs) and possibly imaging scans to get a proper diagnosis.

For liver damage, you cannot rely on home observation. Go to a good hospital or a gastroenterologist. Ask your doctor clearly for a liver function test (LFT) panel and possibly an ultrasound of the abdomen. These tests will give a clear picture. Don't waste time trying to figure it out yourself.

Liver damage? Unless you've suddenly turned yellow or can physically feel your liver yelling at you, you probably can't check at home! Jokes aside, if you're constantly tired, feeling sick to your stomach, or your skin/eyes have a yellow tint, that's your body waving a big flag. Time to see a doc, not Google.

Beti, liver ki dikkat toh andar se hoti hai, bahar se kya hi dekhenge. Par agar aankhein peeli dikhen, ya bohot kamzori lage, toh samajh lo kuch gadbad hai. Kabhi kabhi pet bhi phool jata hai. Aise mein doctor ke paas jaana hi accha hai. Woh khoon ki jaanch karenge aur bata denge.

Liver damage? I don't know much about this. So, if someone drinks alcohol, should they always get it checked regularly? And what are the first signs that are easy to miss? It sounds very serious and a bit scary.

I was just researching liver health, and it seems you can't really detect damage at home. Early signs can be super vague like fatigue or nausea. The main red flags I found are jaundice (yellow skin/eyes), dark urine, light-colored stools, and swelling. If any of these appear, it's definitely time to see a doctor for liver function tests and imaging.
