How to avoid loose skin weight loss?

My sister lost a lot of weight and now has some loose skin, which she feels self-conscious about. I'm also planning to lose weight and want to know what I can do to avoid facing the same issue. What are the best ways to prevent loose skin during weight loss?

Hey, it's a super common concern! The best approach is always gradual weight loss, not crash dieting. It gives your skin time to adjust. Also, incorporate strength training; building muscle underneath can help fill out the skin a bit.

From a practical standpoint, focus on consistent hydration and a diet rich in protein and Vitamin C, which supports collagen production. Avoid very rapid weight loss. Certain supplements like collagen peptides might offer some benefit, but discuss with a doctor first.

I totally get it, you work so hard to lose weight and then this happens! It can be really disheartening. Remember that slow and steady wins the race for your skin. And don't forget good moisturizing and maybe some gentle massages.

When I lost a lot of weight, I seriously panicked about the loose skin, thought it would never go away. But with consistent strength training and just giving my body time, it did improve a lot. It's often not as bad as you imagine it will be.

I've been on that journey! I tried dry brushing, regular firming lotion, and even a bit of yoga for skin elasticity. While it doesn't completely disappear for everyone, consistent strength training to build muscle and staying very well hydrated made the most practical difference for me. Be patient with your body.
